The air hangs thick and heavy, smelling of ozone and burnt metal. You awaken with a gasp, your head throbbing, your memories fragmented like shattered glass. Where…where are you?You are aboard the *Odyssey*, a deep-space exploration vessel, or what *was* a deep-space exploration vessel. Now, it's a twisted husk of its former self, corridors buckled and groaning, emergency lights flickering ominously. Your cryo-pod lies open, its mechanisms sparking and spitting, the airlock controls nearby twisted into mangled abstract art. You are, judging by the flickering display on a cracked terminal, in Sector 7, a section dedicated to hydroponics… or *was* dedicated to hydroponics. Now, the once-lush gardens are choked with strange, bioluminescent fungi and gnarled, thorny vines that seem to writhe of their own volition. The last thing you remember is… well, that's the problem, isn't it? There are glimpses, flashes of training simulations, of sterile white laboratories, of a haunting melody played on a bioluminescent instrument. But nothing concrete, nothing to grasp. You feel…purpose, a deep-seated drive to *do* something, but what that something is remains frustratingly elusive. The silence, broken only by the groaning of the ship and the crackling of exposed wires, is unsettling. You are alone. Or so you think. A low, guttural growl echoes from deeper within the sector. Something is moving in the shadows.Your cryo-pod held a standard-issue survival kit. You notice a crumpled, unread message tucked inside: "Protocol Omega initiated. Eliminate the source. Save what remains."Protocol Omega? Eliminate the source? What source? What remains? These are the questions that will consume you. This is the beginning. You are a survivor, stripped bare, adrift in a nightmare crafted from your forgotten past. Every creaking hull plate, every flickering light, every echoing growl is a puzzle piece. You must piece together the truth, uncover the secrets of the *Odyssey*, and face whatever horrors lurk within. Your survival, and perhaps the survival of something far greater, depends on it.Good luck. You'll need it.
